Monday: 0
Pretty sore both from my shot as well as continued knee pain. Limping. Running out of the question today.
Best news today was that after spending much of the week preparing a project status report and presentation, the project that I've been managing since 2015 got the "Go" vote from senior executives to proceed with implementation this coming weekend. Yes! Final week of the project stress insanity and final 7-day workweek is making me feel much better already.
Tuesday: 0
Went back to Urgent Care in the evening to have the knee checked. All looks good! Scars trying to form and wound is finally drying out.
Wednesday: 5
First day without bandages! So much easier walking today, so decided to try a run on the soft, flat, and easy "trails" of Ninigret. It was slow and awkward, but I'm headed in the right direction.
Thursday: 0
Knee really sore after yesterday's run.
Friday: 0
Saturday: 7
Ninigret Park. Knee still pretty banged up and sore from the injury a week ago, but pushed myself to get out there in warm sunny 50 degree temps. Kept it on easy and soft terrain. There was a bike race on the criterium course, and that was interesting to watch. Highlight was seeing a garter snake sun itself on the Crosstown Refuge Trail.
Sunday: 5
Easter Sunday. Pumpkins for Easter. Ran Pumpkins 8K course. A little concerned with the bike ruts in the lower elevation areas that are perennially wet in the spring, but otherwise the course looks in great shape!
Finished up the run before heading back to work for the afternoon. Seems cruel to work on Easter Sunday afternoon, but it's actually not bothering me, as today is conversion day and it's the last Sunday or weekend day that I should be working for a while! Excited that the project that I've been managing since 2015 is coming to implementation today and will be closed imminently.
Weekly mileage: a whopping 17 miles!
Weekly synopsis: this should be the final week of paltry mileage.
