Weekly Log 29-Jun to 5-Jul-2015

Monday:  0

Tuesday:
20 miles.  To/fro Stonington Fun Runs with a group of 6.
7 miles.  Stonington Fun Runs.

NOTE:  Final day of June.  Tally for first half of the year:  1,067 miles run.  Right about on pace for my 2015 goal of 2,200 miles.

Wednesday:
3 miles.  Westerly Fun Runs.  Slow 2nd mile in the heat:  5:48 / 6:20 / 5:42.

Thursday:
6 miles.  Woody Hill.  Swatting pesky deerflies.

Friday:
5 miles.  Local morning run.
17 miles.  Coastal route dodging tourists, with a few close calls.  Here's a novel idea:  how about if we look BOTH ways before venturing out into the street?  (walkers and drivers alike)

Saturday:
13 miles.  Hilly road, but mostly trail run with Matthew.  From Burlingame Picnic Area up Kings Factory, Shumunkanuc (Jonny didn't even put pools out for us cool off in!), and Burdickville before running NST all the way back to unnamed single-track (Jonny or Galoob probably have a name) that passes the start of the Ridge Trail climb in Brrr-lingame, and then out to Sanctuary Road and back.  Tiring in the heat, but a good run.  Matthew did well to run 13.

Sunday:
21 miles.  Got up late for this ride, and suffered with more heat and people than I wanted.  Up to Bradford and back via Klondike before going through Misquamicut.
6 miles with Matthew on local roads to make a brick.
0.25 miles.  Short choppy ocean swim to finish out the day.

Weekly Mileage Log:
0.25 miles.  That's not going to cut it, especially with a Half Iron next month.
58 miles.  Three times on the bike!
40 miles.  About where I want to be, maybe a few more miles next week.
