Back from Florida. Wahaneeta / Woody trail run. No deerflies!
Tuesday: 9
AM: 4 miles easy at Wilson Mountain Reservation, Dedham, MA.
PM: 5 miles at Battle of Stonington 5K, including warm-up and cool-down. Warm, but not as sticky as some of the other summer races. Really happy that I was able to keep every mile split sub-6 pace. 18:23. 6th overall, won my age group.
Wednesday: 1!
Final Westerly Fun Run hurrah. :(
Thursday: nada
Friday: 4
Schonning 5k. Hot, but the worst issue is due to course marshal error, short course. This is the second time in past 4 years that there has been a short course, which is really unacceptable given it's a certified course! Ran my first mile in 5:46, but once it was clear we were directed off course for a short course, lost interest.
Saturday: 5
Prior to a Wahaneeta trail maintenance crew clean-up with Muddy, Jonny, Beth, and Eric, met up with Jonny to run a few trails in Wahaneeta and Woody.
Sunday: 12
AM: 8 miles 'round the pond with Mike B.
PM: Mid-day barefoot beach run with Mike and Eric.
Weekly mileage: 37
Weekly synopsis: Like many, tired of the heat and humidity. Bring on fall and its cooler temps.
