Bonus: Got written permit today from DEM to host Run for the Pumpkins 5K Trail Race!
Double Bonus: Got a request from the town today looking for my input on new trail development and maintenance in the newly acquired "Lucey" properties!
Tuesday:
900 yards. 500 easy, then 2 x 200 hard.
Wednesday:
6 miles. What a surprise to turn onto Shore Road to run right alongside Ryan Woolley, back from New Zealand. Ran and chatted with him for about a mile or so before jumping onto the beach to continue my run.
Thursday:
13 miles. Meeting up at Watchaug to drop off supplies for BRR, so I figured I'd go early and get a good trail run in. Easy run up to Kettle Pond Visitor Center tower, and then Burlingame Trail out to the Brrr-lingame trails. Ran 10 x (1:00 hard, 0:30 easy). Easier than it sounds, or at least for me. Ran around the pond mostly on VG except for dirt road down to North Camp and single-track back out.
Friday:
4 miles. Easy run checking out the Pumpkins new course after Mike B & I did some clearing work.
Saturday:
5 miles. Pawcatuck Lions 5K. Write-up forthcoming.
Sunday:
6 miles. Back Road Ramble. Write-up forthcoming.
